Nucleus

Nervous sounds tug, compress, stretch, and shape “the events as a sculpture in time.” An audiovisual figure grows on the castle façade. »Nucleus« brings the sounds of musicians to life visually. The basis is Wolfgang Rihm’s composition of the same name. With over 400 works of new music, the Karlsruhe composer has been writing music history for 40 years. The recordings from the concert are framed by organic structures created by the Institute for Music Informatics and Musicology and the ComputerStudio of the Karlsruhe University of Music.
