2nd place BBBank-Award 2024

Julian Hölscher's works are created at the interface between technology, art and design. He has dealt with history and democracy in many of his works, e.g. in 2021 as art director of the collective URBANSCREEN for the projection of the names of people who were persecuted and deported during the Third Reich ("#everynamecounts") or in 2019 as art director for projections on the East Side Gallery and the former Stasi headquarters in Berlin to mark the 30th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution and the fall of the Berlin Wall. For the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE 2024, he has created a projection with a simple message: Democracy is alive when citizens participate and shape it. "Me" becomes "We" and, as in a choir, every voice counts so that a common "We" can finally resound.
