The artist collective behind the project has its studio at the Alter Schlachthof in Karlsruhe and has been part of the Kreativpark since the very beginning. The contribution "Arrrtt. I GG" was conceived and produced on behalf of the ZKM Karlsruhe on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law, with a particular focus on Article 1.

The concept of "Arrrtt. I GG" shows how the Basic Law is continuously applied and interpreted in order to do justice to the constant changes in our society. The external influences and changes are represented by the phenomenon of the glitch. A glitch manifests itself through a faulty representation of a supposedly invisible problem. This unexpected malfunction in the system attracts everyone's attention until it is rectified.

The Basic Law faces new challenges and safeguards our existing basic order. In "Arrrtt. I GG", this interplay of loss and gain of control is visualized through deliberately induced or provoked representational errors.
